An award submission created and submitted by Handmade Marketing won an environmental award for Falco and UK Power Networks at the 2025 City of London Corporation’s Considerate Contractor Streetworks Scheme Awards.

Our client, utilities firm Falco jointly won the prestigious Environment Award with UKPN for its trial of new all-electric powered excavators while working on underground infrastructure in the capital. The state-of-the-art machine from Japanese manufacturer Takeuchi eliminates carbon emissions and enhances air quality while reducing noise by up to 75%.

Handmade generated the award submission which outlined persuasive reasons why the scheme was innovative, the key benefits and the timeline of its implementation. The 1000-word submission was illustrated with a testimonial from Mete Coban, the Deputy London Mayor for Environment & Energy and illustrated with data and photography.

Falco’s management team joined representatives from UK Power Networks to collect the prize at a ceremony held at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall in The City of London.
